Anyone know the size of the Axim screen; I know it's 3.5 inches. But what is it exactly length and width wise?

I bought some WriteRights for a Palm IIIc (it was on clearance :P). It's dimensions are 58 X 79 . Will it fit?

If you are looking for a great screen protector that fits and is not an adhesive type screen protector, check out WriteShields at http://www.pocketpctechs.com/.

You can make your own out of Transparancy Film. There is a thread on here somewhere I'll try to find it. Try doing a search...it works fine. I made some the other day you can get 6 per sheet of film, it's the perfect solution IMO. :)

There ya go...you just print out the template and cut away...I used an exacto knife.

Screen Protectors

People have been saying that the film scratches easy but I say so what...just put a new one on...its cheap.

;)

I also saw the post about the homemade screen protectors, and I have some cut and ready for myAxim to arrive (we keep waiting and waiting and waiting....)

Now i'm second guessing and wondering if these are as good as commercial ones. Do they slip around at all? My friend has screen protectors for his ipaq the are adhesive, and he says if you don't use that kind, dust will get under the plastic and scratch when you write, due to the plastic shifting.

Any opinions? Does anybody have an opinion on the protectors that Dell is selling?

well, I have used the template (which I had to adapt a bit cous they where waay to small, prolly cous I use A4 format here or so) anyways, they scratch like hell, easily, u wont last more than a week with one, but then, u can get 6 (or 8 in my case) out of one sheet so that's quite a bit, but I ordered myself a pro screen protector tho (brando) scince those R anti reflexive etc,

I noticed often some dust underneath the slide under protector I have now, but never saw any scratches, so It hink it's safe for now

Just curious...what kind of film did you use?

I made some out of 3M stuff and gave one to a co-worker who has been using it for about a week. I'm looking at it right now and it looks just like it did when I put it on. It doesn't slide around either. I guess it's gonna come down to personal prefrence.

I have made some for myself using 3M inkjet transparencies and they work fine enough. I then got my hands on some HP laser transparencies and since they are clearer i opted to use those.

True, the transparency tends to have scratch but it does not effect the quality much. the only place i scratched is the part where i use the block recognizer (being a palm convert).

all in all i'm happy with this and will continue to use it. it's very difficult for us to get this kind of stuff here and these do the job good enough. ;)

I've used the home made protectors before; but beside the afformentioned (sp?) scratching. I found that it did seem to move around a bit while being in my pocket.

Did anyone find that the protectors leave a little gap in the bottom right corner if they are shifted?
