I am trying to set up my Calendar with a lot of my recurring appointments but I'm finding it very time consuming inputting the same information over and over again.

I know I have a choice of recurring every week or month or year, etc., but I'm looking for a way to set up the same basic information on very different (and non-sequenced) days and times. For example, my daughter's orthodonist appointments are scheduled way ahead of time but they all contain the same basic information. Is there any way to copy and paste the basic information from one appointment to the other? When I looked, the "copy" function is grayed out, so therefore unavailable from inside the new appointment field.

Also, I would like to mark certain whole weeks or blocks of days (let's say to keep track of everybody's vacation at work), is there any way to do this or do I have to mark every single day in the series?

Thanks in advance.

If you are syncing, use the Desktop Outlook to create the appointments. You can change the end date of an event to span multiple days. I keep track of visitors that way. (You can also do that on the Axim, just change the end date. I find it easier to type on the Desktop than tap on the Axim for block entries.)

For the orthodontist, open a new appointment, create it as recurring, say one per month or whatever is close to what you expect. Then you can open each one, as a single, not the series, and change the date/time as long as it stays after the previous and before the next in the series. If one gets skipped, open as a single and delete it.

I'm not sure where you were when you tried to copy one of the previous appointments. In the one day view, you can touch and hold on an appointment and then through the menu tht appears copy the appointment. Goto the date and time of the next appointment, touch and hold on that time and then paste this into the date and time and then make any necessary adjustments. Note, this is NOT from within any new appointment field....I'm not quite sure what you are referring to with that.

I just added some vacation schedules to my Axim. Add an appointment and change the type to "All Day". You can then define a start and end date for the all day appointment. Be sure to change the status of the appointment from busy to free otherwise you will appear to be unavailable rather than the person who is actually on vacation. The only hang up with this is if a report's vacation goes over a weekend you must create two (or more) all day appointments so that their vacation does not appear on Saturday and Sunday.
