Mad Getting default settings back

Can anyone tell me if there is a way to restore the settings>connections>connections to their original values without doing a hard reset? I was messing around with the drop down menus & now I can't get the original settings back.

When I go to that screen and click modify the only thing I can do is create new settings. Had you already set something up? Try just deleting the settings you have.

Thanks for taking an interest.

My troubles arose when I looked at 'Work Settings ' and 'Work'. I now get a 'Proxy Settings' tab on the Modem page & everything has slowed right down. The little rotating disk goes on for ages after most OKs.

My original need was just to set up my Axim to use e-mail using my new CF modem card ----but that's another story

I've had similar problems. At one point, I lost the "Work" settings option (which made it impossible to connect to the Internet). The only solution I found was to back up and do a hard reset.

I agree with tgreenstein. I had deleted all the original settings by accident the first time I was trying to set up my Wireless CF card and the only way I found to get them back was a hard reset. I believe there are some default registry settings that may be deleted and are not returned when you try to recreate the original settings.

The 'Proxy Settings' tab is there on mine too, so I don't think that's the problem. Unfortunately it looks like a hard reset is in your future. Good luck.
