How can I get my start bar to get that Win XP look?

I keep seeing that folks have their start bar across the top have that great looking WinXP feel to it....

I use pocket informant, and it has a switcher/close utility built in....so if there's a way I can just apply the "skin" to the start bar, that would be ideal....but if it comes as part of a free utility, then I can work with that too I guess. ;)

Thanks!

You can try IcBar. And they also have the skins you might be looking for.

there is a small utility called "XPstart" you have to launch it after every soft/hard reset.... and you will need to restart after changing themes... but it gives you a XP looking start button and some controls over your shutdown and the like.

I will have to find the link, but I suppose you could do a search for it... oh, it is free

I haven't used this app, but you should be able to place a shortcut to the .exe file in the Startup folder. This will make it start everytime you soft reset. I have always done the same for Icbar.

Thanks littlekevbo...thats just what I was looking for. It does have an option under "setting" to enable it to run again after a soft reset.

I ran Icbar...but found it duplicating a lot of the things that the Battery Pack does for me, so don't think I need anything that big.

woot!
