What is battery life like with display set to mid brightness (not full)

Say, for reading ebooks and the likes and surfing. The battery that comes with the Axim basic 300 model.... what sort of life can I expect before I need to recharge?

And what about playing 128kbps mp3s with earphones ?

Thanks.

Well with the screen on it appears to be between 4 and 6 on mine, for reading ebooks and the like. But if you turn it off while playing mp3's then people have reported 8-10 hours and even more. It all depends on how you use it.

For surfing, a WLAN card will drain the battery quicker. I have not tried how long I can use mine with WLAN access, but the battery indicator definitely goes down quicker.

Willyc... for Mp3 playing, it seems to be pretty much in line with battery life on a typical MP3 player.

Unlike my Sony NetMD Minidisc player that gets 48 hours off a single AA.

Honestly... I do keep a couple of my favorite CDs on a CF card.. in case I get stuck somewhere and want to listen to some music.

But... for the most part, I stick to my MD player for music.
