Should I buy an Axim now?

Hi! I've been scouring the web for information about the Axim and I'm thinking about buying the 300mhz Axim and I was wondering due to the Windows Mobile 2003 bug, I guess you could say, is it safe to buy an Axim? If I'm going to buy one I don't want one that'll be slow and take forever to do things. So I'm not sure if I should buy one or not. What do you suggest?

Thanks!

So basically if I buy one right now I won't have to worry about updating it or anything and it would be one of the best PDA's known exist :) ?

Just ordered mine today (300 MHz), THEN began reading the forums.

(Sorry for the dumb question, but this IS the newbie forum after all... )

yep it will be fine, all axims that ship have the fixed A05 rom already on them, no worries :D

Cant wait till my paycheck arrives!!!!!!! I want my X5:D

-As of now, there are no issues with the axim X5s that ship from dell, basic or advanced.

Drivers for wifi cards and updated software for the new OS are also coming in, expect WM2003 to be more or less fully supported by mid-late august, or never. Heh.

Still though, almost anything for PPC2002 works in WM2003, however there is the odd piece of hardware and software.

You got a good product :D

Thanks! I hope so!!

I had one of the few @migo PPC that actually worked well. Used it for a few years, and now it's dying a slow death. Has to be restored every few days. It's time for a new PPC, and the Dell 300 was the only thing in my budget. I'm glad to know it's a good item, at a good price!!

I bought a Palm IIIe a few years ago and I loved it for a while but then realized that it was a rather boring, drab and I couldn't do much with it but I'm really excited about this! I'm looking forward to trying an NES emulator and also being able to watch movies!! Oh and I might use it to take notes in class with too ;)
