Several questions regarding MS's lovely program ActiveSync:
1.) Dell Disc came with Active Sync 3.5. MS is now has 3.6 available. Is there any merit in making the switch?
2.) ActiveSync sometimes doesn't want to sync certain files via it's Explorer app. They go through the conversion process, but then don't get copied to the PDA. If this happens, I'm forced to change the file's name (not the extension, just the name). Once changed, it transfers just fine. There's no pattern to this: CAB files, Word files, Excel files and PDF files, have all experienced it. The files aren't "read only" or protected in any other way.
3.) The "Pocket_PC My Documents" folder contains files I want maintained on both systems (desktop & PDA)? Right?? If yes, why does ActiveSync like to delete files off the PDA that are sitting in that folder on the desktop?
Is anyone else having these types of problems with Activesync? If so, have you had any luck in excersing these demons?
