Battery meter?

Ive seen pics of a battery meter up next to the volume icon. Is there a way to enable this? I dont need any fancy 3rd party plugin, just a simple little meter.

Yes. Go to Start/Settings/System/Switcher Bar. That will give you a battery meter, a brightness adjuster, and my personal favorite, the program switcher/closer. I couldn't live without this activated.

A program doesn't open. You get three (or one if you have 2003) icons in the top bar between the Start and the Clock. One of them looks like a menu with an up and a down arrow on it, one looks like a light bulb, and one looks like a battery (for 2003, you only get the menu, and the other two settings are in that).

If it still doesn't work, do a soft reset. And if that isn't what you mean, sorry for wasting your time.

Not at all. Thankyou for going out of your way to respond so quickly to me. :)

I'm new here so please bear with me. I have 2003 and i've followed your instructions. What I wanted was the battery meter next to the clock, but does 2003 have that or do I have to download another program?

Thanx in advance.

I don't have 2003 yet, so I don't know for certain, but I think you would have to get another program. The battery icon in 2002 is very inacuate though, and really only serves as a good way to get to the power setting to check. The switcher bar in 2003 should work just as good for that function.

I know you said you really didn't want a third party app, but I really recommend ICbar. It's freeware and let's you do all sorts of stuff like that. I don't know what the link is but a quick search around the forums will point you in the right direction.
