SD card is empty but showing most used...
I am using a Sandisk 128 SD card that a friend gave me. He was using it in his “palm OS” cell phone. I finally got around to storing some things on it one night and noticed that it was using 104 of the 128. I decided to go into “file explorer” and see what was on it and I found nothing. I checked the "view all files" selection and still found nothing. So my friend put the card back in his phone and found a file called “launcher”. He explained that the launcher folder was from his phone and erased it and gave it back to me. BUT THE SD CARD IS STILL SHOWING 104 USED!!! What can I do to free up this space?

Try formatting the card yourself. Get a program like storage tools and format the card.

I've found the following to be best:

Type: FAT32
Sector Size: 512 bytes
Cluster Size: 8KB

YMMV

Chris...

the best cluster size to use is the smallest one. you dont loose as much space this way.
