I placed a password on my new Axim. Normally, when my Axim is turned on it, immediately it will bring up the keyboard to type in the password.

Yesterday, two times after turning it off, letting letting it sit for an hour and turning it back on... the input password line displayed, but the keyboard didn't to type in the password. I would touch the keyboard key in the bottom right hand corner. It would display for a millisecond and not stay on the screen. Both times I needed to do a soft reset and and the password line and keyboard came up correctly. Any thoughts...

Also do the soft resets hurt the Axim.

Soft resets are the norm. This is, after all, a Microsoft OS. ;)

I notice I have to do soft resets more often after leaving lots of tasks running. Also, Microsoft reader seems to take a lot of resources, I'm more likely to have to soft reset if that's open.

If you think about it, you might find a program that is causing your problem. There's lots of software out there. Some of it is well behaved. Some is not.
