Backup batter meter wonky

My Axim is about 1 week old. Recently, I've been getting a warning when I turn the power on that my backup battery is dead, and indeed, when I check the meter, it reads as 0%. Being only a week old, I thought that this was a mistake and I soft-rebooted - the battery read as 100%. But after a while, it started to give me the warning again. I ignored it, and checked the battery power about a half hour later, and it read 100% again. I don't know if this is related, but I've also had the Axim turn off by itself while synchronizing. Has anyone else had similar problems? Is it a software or hardware glitch?

Thanks for your help.

Hey me too. I've seen the same problem with the battery meter on other people's Axims too. Also, sometimes hitting the power button doesn't turn mine on, but doing a soft reset while it's off in that case does (takes longer to turn on though). I though it was just me or something. I've replaced my backup battery three times.

I bought mine the day Axims came out...running PPC2002 and a has a PXA250 I think.
