Once again I need your help. Being new to the PDA world I have never had the opportunity to beam any information from device to device. I know the beam comand is in the tools menu under contacts, but how do you recieve the information. I did a little experiment with two axims yesterday with no results. Could someone give me a somewhat detailed list of how to send and recive via IR?

To Receive, go to Start >> Settings >> Connections tab >> Beam and make sure the box is checked.

I found that the 2 devices need to be close to each other. I had trouble beaming more than 5 feet.

O.K. I am trying this again and it doesn't seem to be working. The axim that is sending appears to be sending the contact. The axium recieving doesn't show the contact in the contacts program. Does the beamed information go to a specific file and then need to be moved?

Alternatively, you could try 'infrared receive' in program -- but that's more for legacy device like PPC2000 or something.
