I ordered my Axim couple weeks ago, I also got 256CF, 256 SD and CF Ethernet card 10/100Mb.

I would like to control any PC or Lap top through internet.

I'm using Symantec PC Anywhere on my home computer and at the office , so I can control either one of them remotely.(control meanning EVERYTHING not just file transfer.)

so I just recently found a programm called Remote Contoll For Pocket Pc 1.1
on:

http://www.pocketgear.com/software_detail.asp?id=1838

but damn .... 50 bucks ... I got my PC anywhere software for cheaper then that ...

On the same site www.pocketgear.com I found couple other programms that do almost same thing ... they have one that controls only winamp ...

ANYONE WHO TRIED any of these programs please share your expiriences.

or may be some other ideas about how to create remote computing using Axim PPC.

thanx

can't wait to get my new Axim

Haven't tried that particular proggie, but if you're connecting to a Windows XP box (or 2000 w/Terminal Services) you can use the Terminal Services Client that's preloaded on your Axim -- I use it often and it works quite well.

I use the Terminal Services method and it works great. A bit rough when dealing with a busy desktop screen since it won't all fit on the PPC screen, but still works fine.

For Windows XP it's simple.

Right-click My Computer and click Properties. Under the Remote tab, check "allow users to remotely connect...". Then enter in the IP address and login credentials of that XP PC into Terminal Services client on your Axim. Voila!

I don't have an Axim yet but do have one on order. I am curious if when using Terminal Services (via Remote Desktop) if there is a "right-click" option available?

I use Remote Desktop often with my wireless laptop but need to be more mobile, so in comes the Axim.
