Exclamation Haven't charged for four hours, can I run off the AC though now?

Been charging 45 minutes so far. Can I unplug the adapter, remove the battery, plug adapter back in and run off AC power without the effects of the non-4 hour charge (or the RUMOR'd effects should I say cause some people dispute it)

that 4 hours was just for the battery itself, not the unit at all right? And did it have to be 4 hours unbroken

Unbroken charging 4 hours straight? or 1 then 3 is fine? any clue?

thanks,
WillyC

I think it would be safest to just go ahead and do the four hours. Just surf Aximsite or something for the rest of the time.

If your that worried about it I would leave it charging. If your not so worried about it then go ahead it might not affect the batt at all. If it does hurt it im sure it won't hurt it much.

Actually, if the green light has come on, that means the battery is fully charged. And, since Li-ion batteries have a built-in circuit to prevent overcharging, once the battery is fully charged, the built-in circuit stops the charging process. Therefore, it is not necessary to charge for the full 4 hours, only charge until the battery is full.

Just make sure it is the Green light that says it's charged and not the battery meter. The meter reads 100% well before the green light comes on. Trust the light, not the meter. As soon as it's green, you are good to go (and no, it didn't take me 4 hours, more like 1 or 2).
