Hello,

I just ordered my 300mhz dell, as it was all I could afford being a 16 year old, unemployed. muhaha. Anyway, does anyone know of the most useful freeware that I could use? Also has anyone ever heard of the software "4.0 Student"? Supposidly it has mark tracking, schedule, assignment tracking, etc. Anyway, I already have an mp3 player so i don't intend on using my PPC as a mp3 player, however, is it worth it shelling out some more of my hard earned, er saved, money to get some more memory? Anymore help/advice for this noob student would be appreciated!

Hey fellow Ontarian,

Lets see here, I got a 300 Axim last month as a birthday present, and its been very useful so far, i got a bunch of games for it and write short stories in Word which i can transfer to pc later, it is also useful for taking notes in school.

As i see it, you might want to get a memory card if you are going to use a lot of programs (ie. i got a few games and encyclopedias installed for school use). im not sure what 4.0 student is useful for, because its nothing that a task and calendar features cannot do.

I had 4.0 Student on my Palm and used it about two weeks and got tired of futzing with it. No real utility over task and calendar utes already on the Axim.

I guess if you're really, really anal it is better than using taskers/calendars because 4.0 Student does do a few things those other apps don't.

I think the thing that irked me about 4.0 was it was quirky and not intuitive, not easy to use at all.
