I'm new to the Pocket PC world and just received my Axim this past Tues. I also bought a package of screen protectors as well. The first couple of days everything worked fine, but last night the Axim started acting up (eratic acceptance of input using the stylus). I quickly determined it was the screen protector I had attached 2 days before. It works fine without a protector. I put a new protector on today, but have the same problem. Is there a trick to sticking these things on the screen? Do I have a bad batch? The brand name is Coolwrite. Thanks.
Hmmm. . . that is odd, and since I am not familiar with the brand, I fear I am not much help. However, I have used two different brands of protectors and neither has caused any problems with the touch screen.

I did some looking around in the forums and Writeshields always received great comments. So, I just ordered some. Hopefully they'll fix the problem. Thanks.
I have tried many brands of screen protectors... My vote goes to Brando Workshop.... Brando's protector fits my Axim perfect. They are removable, washable and do not attract as much dust as other brands I have tried...
WriteShields rock. Still use the one I installed in mid January. Thought it was getting scratched so I wiped the screen on my shirt sleve. The protector is again crystal clear and scratch free.
I've got a brando.. just put it on for the first time.. the touch screen doesn't work.. didn't work all that well before.. really doesn't work now...grrrrrrrrr.
Originally posted by Robb I'm using the "Belkin" brand that Dell sells on their website and you wouldn't even kno they were there.
You would know that the Belkins that I tried were there, because they had a fairly prominent "belkin.com" tryped along the bottom edge of the protector. They also are very, very hard to remove - they are extremely sticky and the surface is marred easily, and were also reflective, leading to a lot of glare in bright light situations..
Here's another vote for WriteShields. They are really much better, much more durable, and I like the more matte finish - it has less glare than the Belkin.
