Try this:

http://www.freewareppc.com/utilities/pockettweak.shtml

or in the registry under HKey_Classes_Root you can create a key for the extension (ie .SHH) and create a "filetype" entry. (create a string value called "Default" and entry a filetype (is. SHHFile).

Then create a key called SHHFile" (or whatever your filetype was called) and create a Shell\Open\Command string value which has a Default string value that points to the executable file you need to open your file type.

Of course editing your registry is risky if you make a meal of it. So do a backup first. If you have never played in your registy before then I'd be inclined not to bother.

When you say that sometimes it will run it and sometimes it won't it's unlikely to be an association problem.

Thanks. Also I assume it will work with 2003, right?

I would assume so. But I don't have 2003 so I don't know for sure :)

Update Description:
- Pocket PC 2002 has been supported.
- Menu animation item has been added (Pocket PC 2002 Only).
- Clear Type Text setting for Pocket IE has been modified to work correctly with Pocket PC 2002.

Seems like all for 2002.. Don't want to take a chance.

Where would I find Resco Explorer?

Thank You.

Now, I am not that worried about the associations, as long as once the player or an application is removed, it removes the associates as well.. If it doesn't then, i will try to find the solutions. For example that music player just associated mp3s without asking me.. I loved MVP's mp3 handling, but now I gotta have music player open them now? Anyway, I will manage , i guess

Thanks~!
