Call me retarded, but I can't find them. Is there anyway to change start-up options or the first screen you see to an image?


Truly a newbie here. I'de appreciate any help.

Yes there is. Tap on Start, then Settings, then the Today icon.
Check the box where it says "use the picture as the background", then tap Browse... and load your image.

I'll chime in here with my own ignorance.

I just got my Axim.

I downloaded some themes from the internet, but have no idea how to get them from my pc to my ppc.

I've also seen references to a program that will manage these themes...e.g., automatically rotate through them on your Today screen.

Can someone explain this to me like I'm a four year old (...or a fifty-four year old, when it comes to these new-fangled handhelds).

I was wondering about all this as well....The taskbars and whatnot...I'm downloading Icbar now...so we'll see how that goes and I'll let you know. :)

The easiest way to apply wallpaper and bar colors is with the MS Theme Generator, which is free and runs on your PC.
ICBar or Wisbar both allow you to skin the Navigation bar ... using graphics for the bar wallpaper as well as seperate images for the buttons.

The elements of the nav bar are all custom images.

Where did you get that software? I can't seem to get IcBar to work...there isn't an .exe file, but then again I am palm pilot retarded.

I use icbar, but I don't remember how it loads. What kind of file do you get from the download?

Drag the .cab file onto your Axim and click on it using the Explorer option on your Axim and it installs itself.
