WPA-PSK doesn't work for wifi

Hi there, i've been trying to get my axim to connect via WPA-PSK (TKIP) to a new netgear router that I have purchased. THe axim used to work fine with my old access point which only supported WEP. But now that I have the option of better security I want to try it. My Nintendo wii is able to use the WPA-PSK key I set on the router and it connects fine at full speed which means that the key is working correctly. However, when I try the same code in my axim, it isnt able to connect. Has anyone had the same happen or got any advice on how to fix this problem? If i can fix this it would solve all my wifi woes :)

Hi, I have a X50v with 2003SE, and is using a FON router with WPA-PSK (TKIP). The connection is setup via the WLAN utility, and then pressing the settings button. Select the network and you can enter the settings: network key and so on. If you still have problems, I'll suggest you delete the network, and create it again from the bottom up.

WPA is supported in WM03SE and WM5, but not earlier versions. If you have an X5, X3, or X30, you'll probably have to go back to WEP.

Have you tried both Odyssey and WLAN utility? I find that with 2 WPA access points that I use, 1 only works with Odyssey while the other only works with WLAN. I configured both APs in both programs but it just seem to work 1 way.

Hi guys and gals, it tried the odessy client and it works great with WPA-PSK! I didnt even know what it did before you suggested it. I've been using the Dell WLAN utility! lol. In any case it works great. I have setup my axim with the dell WLAN utility so that when I am at home the axim uses a fixed IP address (there's an option which asks either to ask the server or specify my own IP). Now if I use the odessy client, will it still try to get a static IP or do I have to configure something inside it to do the same thing? In any case it works which is great news. Thanks!
