I got help today by my ISP because I want to purchase a 56k modem card so I can dial into AT&T. This is what they tell me I need as required by the device. Since I'm ordering the Axim today, can anyone help me and let me know if this is compliant? Thanks!..............

If your Windows CE Device is running Windows CE 2.11 (or higher), then it must meet the following minimum requirements:

14.4 Kbps modem (56k/V.90 is recommended)
CPU's:
Handheld PC/Handheld PC Pro -- MIPS, SH3, SH4 or ARM/StrongARM
Palm-size PC -- MIPS, SH3
Pocket PC -- MIPS, SH3, ARM

You should be all set to go. PocketPC is WinCE (minor differences from version indicated) and the Axim uses the ARM version of the software.

Double-Trinity

Well, WinCE is what PPC is based on, basically, the Pocket PC is a derivative of WinCE, the OS itself os actaully Windows CE 3.something, but the UI is customized for the Pocket PC form factor, as well as the bundled apps, so it is considered Pocket PC OS.
