:( Well after 2 hours on teh phone, I finally got my Compaq 56K Flashmodem to work with my Dell 400mhz PDA. However it does not show the graphics at all, so like when you log on Yahoo, you can see the printing but no graphics, is this normal? The guy from Dell said it was a problem with no fix for it.

I plan on doing business call ins and really need the graphics, beats carrying the laptop for checking email.

Any help would be great, and I am NEW at all this PDA stuff so please be gentle.

Thanks,

Eric

Do you have graphics turned off in PocketIE? Try clicking the icon on the bottom right that looks like a page with a red X on it.

Hi,

Yes I just checked that and it is working, I can switch back and forth with a photo I have loaded, that page looking thing with the RED x changes it from a ICON to the picture. I guess what they were telling me (Dell) that I will not be able to see graphics while surfing, is that true?

Thanks,

Eric

No, that's not true, and it sounds like there's considerable confusion somewhere along the line.

Most websites load just fine in PocketIE -- graphics and all.

Some questions:

- Is this problem occurring on all websites you've tried? if so, have you tried the Show Pictures toggle as rhyno described? What happens when you try?

- Is the problem specific; i.e. you can't see embedded images in Yahoo email, or you can't see graphics at www.yahoo.com?

- How many other programs are open? Lots? Try closing them all and running just PocketIE. What happens now?

- Are you waiting until the page fully loads? (Graphics are usually the last elements to be loaded and displayed.)

Awaiting your answers,

-Bill
