can't restore factory setting

I tried to install A12 to my new x51v but it only went to 81% then timed out.
I noticed that while it was installing it said something like "removing everything"
I removed it from the cradle and it seemed o.k.,but now it won't restore to factory settings .When I do a hard reset,for a split second I see the image of the restore to factory settings, then it goes right to today screen just like the post said it should after hard reset,then to continue. I checked sysyem info. and I still have A01.some thing got lost. Help!

thank's for your effort but I did it from ie but still would'ent load unless i went to file on c drive,used setup from there. I now have upgrade toA12 .
what should I expect from A12.
