I just bought a used Axim X5 off ebay. It came stocked with WM2002, so I also went ahead and bought a copy of WM2003, which ill upgrade to when it comes.

My question is:

I want to backup WM2002 before I install WM2003. I want to do this because I probably wont have the disc to 2002, and I may need to go back to 2002 (Linux only works with a 2002 verison). Whats the best way of doing this?

Also,

Whats the best way of doing a clean, fresh formatting install of the OS? I want the PDA to operate just as if I bought it new, so id like to completely delete all data and reformat with 2003. Whats the best way of doing this?

A hard reset will format or reset all settings to original.
