Wireless CF card not recognized

I have a X5 with ppc02 and installed a Linksys WCF11 wireless card. I get message of 'wireless card in slot 1 not recognized. Enter name of the driver for this card'. I am unable to get the card to work and the green led lite is also not on. Linksys chatline told me that the WCF11 is for Windows CE OS not PPC02.
Can any one help?

Welcome to Aximsite,

It is all about the CF type port you have on the X5 and what the CF card you are putting in. The CF port on the X5 is for type I card, I believe and if your card you have is type II it will never work together unless someone has found a magic way to get this to work lately.

Sorry Frenchy but both CF I and II work in the X5.

Rob L, have you installed the drivers? WCF-11 has been used with the X5 with PPC02 (although they did not update the drivers for WM03). If you cannot find the linksys drivers, you might try the Intersil reference drivers. These are most easily installed using sHARD>>'s Perfect Prism utility.

Thankyou
Yes I believe I did, through the CD install disk that came with the Wireless CF II card. I'll try and find the Intersil Reference drivers you mentioned.
