I bought my Axim X5 today and am now waiting patiently for delivery. The tutorials (and the rest of this site) make great reading while I'm waiting. Thanks
hellfire, glad you found the article informative. You will have lots of fun with your X5 and be sure to ask if you need assistance. Everyone here is terrific! :D BTW, welcome to Aximsite!!!
Alright, I must be blind. After reading the tutorials, I figured I try any download and instal Icbar on my Axim. Download fine and I have a file called icbar.arm on my desktop. Is this what you are referencing as a .CAB file? I've just can get the hang of this. :bang:

Yup that is the CAB file! Just move it over to anywhere on your Axim (since it's on your desktop, just right click on it and select Send to Mobile Device) and tap on it from your Axim to install. After it installs, the CAB file will be deleted and then you're good to go. BTW, since Icbar is a Today Screen plugin, you access it by going into Start-->Settings-->Today-->Items and then making sure Icbar is checked. Good luck!

I have been installing programs to my various PPC's for two years now and always need to think long and hard on the correct place to do it. I will be printing myself a copy of this to take away the guess work.

Earlier in this thread I pointed out a problem with printing out a hard copy - the right hand edge was clipped. I asked for a "Printer Friendly" version to be supplied.
Now, with the new Aximsite theme, Chris has added a "Show Printable Version" at the bottom of all Forum pages. Unfortunaltely this is not available for tutorials. It would be very nice if it was and it would solve the problem.
Can Chris now allow "Printable Version" to work with tutorials ?

Thanks for the reminder. I will check with Chris. :)
