Your tutorial is quite excellent - very well written and illustrated. Only one small problem - it is difficult to print out without losing the extreme right hand edge, even with both margins set to zero. Can Aximsite produce printer friedly page versions of reviews and tutorials ?

I will check with Chris on this, but did you try changing your printer settings to allow for smaller margins? I'm glad you found the article helpful. :)

Yes. I set both printer margins to zero. The problem seems to arise from the very wide blank left hand strip on the screen view which makes the page just too wide to print in full.

Oh that's too bad...and I just noticed you already mentioned changing your margins...sorry about that useless suggestion!

I have now investigated this more closely and rather strange things seem to be happening. If, when I have the tutorial on the screen, I go to Files/Print Preview, the word wrap line breaks occur in different places. When I print out the document the line breaks are different again. Occasionally the extreme RH edge of the line is slightly clipped, even though there is a black edge line down the RH side of the print out, which does not appear on the normal screen display or in Print Preview !

I get exactly the same problem (though considerably worse) on printing out Chris's review of "Pocket Controller - Professional".

Some other websites provide a "printer friendly" version of documents to be printed out. If this is not used RH edge clipping also happens. It would help if Aximsite could do the same but this is clearly a matter for Chris rather than for you but I do not know how to contact him. Could you call his attention to this thread ?

Cool Why not

Copy the entire document, paste it into Word and remove the "white bar" that is on the left and anything else that is in your way. Then you can change the margins to your heart's content.

I have tried changing to landscape mode and still the right margins are cut off. However, my print previews are accurate. Copying onto WORD seems to work but that is a bit of a pain. Chris is looking into changing the overall format of the tutorials sections...sorry about the hassle!

You must copy it over to your Axim and then run it from there! (I copied mine on to my SD card but it really doesn't matter what location you use. However, if you choose a memory card, remember that if you ever remove your card, you will not be able to access the program.)

tutorial printing

I was able to print out a hard copy of the Tutorial by selecting only the text of the document and copying that into word. Then you can just print out the word document. Worked fine for me.
BTW, thanks for the link to a great tutorial!

You're very welcome...did you ever try selecting the graphics to copy over to Word? (I'm just wondering if that would work.)

yeah, it DOES work. Here, at work, I routinely put together results documents that contain not only excel tables imported but color images captured from other software. Just right click and copy the image. Then just paste the image in the word document. Later versions of Word (like in XP) have image management toolbars in them as well. We also use Acrobat Distiller to capture data/result windows from various forms of analysis and then PDF-ify them(for file size reduction) to email to clients.

ps have a good day.
