About SD cards.....

well ive had my Ax for a lil while...stuck with the crappy A04 untill dell decides to do somthing about it...but i was wondering if anyone knew how to find out if the SD card that im thinking about ordering if there is a way to find out if it will work before hand or is it just luck of the draw??? i know that all the PANASONICs work but other than that what is the best way to order??? is it just better to buy the card from a local store or from the internet?

Stay away from Scamdisk. Most others seem ok.

I agree, mine always gives me problems. It either takes forever to transfer files or always asks me to format the card when I don't need to.

From the posts I've read, I must be the only person NOT having a problem with a SanDisk card.... I must have gotten the one good card out of the batch..

I have 2 scandisk cf cards and they work great

is it just the sd ones that dont work?

Ditto, i have a 256meg version and a 64meg version, and touch wood i have had no errors what so ever with either of them....

The 256meg version was cheaper than the 64, go figure that one :) lol

I think it's mainlyy the ones made in Taiwan... There are also scamdisk cards made elsewhere that do not seem so problematic.

You can always get ahold of SanDisk and get them to replace your card if it is problematic. I just got my replacement yesterday.

Didn't cost me anything except some time either on the phone with them or conversing through email.
