Aximsitex50icon Best MP4 player

I am looking into being able to watch dvd movies converted for viewing on my Axim x51v. But I can't get the Windows Mobile Media Player to play the movie in mp4 format.
Is there a better player than WM Media Player?
How about the best program for converting?
Thanks for your help.

I think tcpmp can play mp4. It plays many formats and is free.

I agree, TCPMP is what I use to watch movies on my AX. There is a great tutorial on aximsite to show how to convert to avi files. Great quality and most movies are less than 500mb.

(that's why i love this site)

Also, you might want to consider using H.264 on CorePlayer if and only if the higher CPU usage isn't a problem. It helps to reduce the file sizes by 30...50%.

See my related H.264 Bible

Aximsitex50icon It works

Again thanks to everyone for your support.
Here is the update:
I am now using TCPMP as my viewer. I use Handbrake to rip the DVDs and have found that I need to use DVD43 to help me get past some of the copy protection security coding on DVDs. But all is working well.
I recently used this to help pass the time on a recent airplane trip.

I don't mind change as long as I'm not around when it happens.
