Hello
I'm new here. I was given an axim x50 and it connected to my motorola v3 raxr very easily thru obex file transfer. I mostly use it to download pictures i have taken. The x50 developed a power problem that i was unable to solve so i bought a new in the box x51 today. I tried to connect to the razr in the same manner and found out that the x51 does not use the broadcom bluetooth. The x51 when paired with the razer only gives me the option of dial up networking. I have spent hours trying to find out how to get the x51 to connect useing obex. Is ther any fairly easy way to do this? should i use the dell patch and go back to wm3se. I havent had any other problems yet and the upgrade to pictures and videos is nice. Its not a big deal i was just really dissaponted to find i cant transfer my pictures now.
If you are just wanting to transfer photos from the phone to the Ax, you can select the files on the phone and send via BT.
Make sure the BT is on and discoverable on the axim and on the phone and it should work easily.
If you want to change the BT to Broadcom look at this thread.
But be aware that some applications don't work with the modified BT stack. (Dell BT GPS for example).
Well that was a simple way to go about it. It diddn't work thought. The pohone found the axim but when i tried to select the axim i got a service not supported error. Is there a setting that i may need to change?.
I have a Razr V3 also, and I need a new charger. Now this is what I want to know. Do I have to get buy the charger that is made just for the V3 or can I use another charger that fits the USB port in the side of the phone? Why I ask this is because I had a cable that fit but when I plugged it into my USB port in my computer the computer said that it needed to install new hardware and because of this it would not charge the phone. So I have this handy plug that goes into a wall socket and has a USB port in it. So I plug it in, put in the cable, and the phone says, "Unauthorized charger." Is there some unlocking code I have to use in my phone or do I have to buy the charger made for the V3?

So I have another problem with my Razr V3. The thing will not turn on the right way. It just stops and will not load the opening screen. Holding the "off" button does not do a thing. I have to take the battery out and put it back in. But it does the same thing. It freezes. I'm gonna charge it up and see what happens, but it seems like I need to do a reset or something. Any ideas?

Thanks for pointing that out DJU, I was just putting out feelers for any motorola wizs on these fourms. I found my answer when just looking around on the web. The freezing happens a lot to a lot of ppl with this phone and there is really nothing you can do about it. I am now trying to do a master reset to see what that will do.
