hi, my axim has just arrived and on charge.
my question is about the free 64 sdram
is this built in or a seperate card??
if its seperate ive not got one with it.

Unless this was a promotion where Dell was actually giving you the card I would say that you have the 64 Megs inside your device. All Dell Advanced (400 Mhz) X5's come with 64 Megs built in. With that said if you ordered a separate 64 Meg card sometimes it will ship at a different time depending on how many they have in stock at the time.

thanks gms, the offer i had was the wireless handhell on the following link.
it looks to me that i should have got a seperate card but i spoke to customer care and they tell me it is built in.
If this is built in all axim pda's how can it be a special offer to me

Should have been a card. It specfically says FREE 64MB SD CARD WITH AXIM PERFORMANCE OR WIRELESS.

Call back and ask to speak to someone with an IQ higher than 10.

Sending Dell an email is almost 99 percent useless. I have been trying to get info on the update on my ROM for almost 2 months now and have not recieved anything from them. I would call, but during the day I do not have access to a phone.

good news! i finally recieved my "free" memory card this morning which probably cost me more in phone calls than its worth, but in dells defence they sent me a 128mb card instead of the 64mb.
aparently there was a consignment which was shipped without the free cards. I dont think i would have seen it if it wasnt for the constant complaining and arguments over wether i should have got one or not.
all is well that ends well, i just hope i dont have to call customer supportless again.
