HI,
I'm Having an issue with Windows media player on my Axim 300. It seems to play the song for about 24 seconds and then goes out. I have been listening through the built in speaker if this has anything to do with it. The sound cuts out and the clock continues to run. I have the music files saved on cf card.

Transfer the file back to your PC and try to play it there. It may have been encoded wrong or copied wrong. If the file is intact, it's probably trying to run at too high a bitrate. Resample it at a lower quality setting and try it again.
I use the lowest quality setting for WMP(PC) transfer to the axim.
With P-WMP you'll probably get better results with wma format instead of mp3.

A better option to play MP3's is to get a different player. Basically WMP sorta sucks Especially at MP3's .. they do alright with WMA files. A better option for an MP3 player is PocketMVP (Plays MP3 files as well as AVI and Divx Files) The web site for that is : http://home.adelphia.net/~mdukette/
I have really fell in Love with this lil peice of software

Will the Axim deal with 128 Mp3's. I have dl a bunch of Mp3 files that are encoded at 128. I will take your suggestion to get a new player but is there a way to re encode mp3 to WMP files.?

Every mp3 I have is at least encoded at 128. Not a problem at all on the Axim.
