Newbie, wireless, cradle confusion

I recently bought a Dell Axim x50v for school. I have an Acer Aspire 5610Z computer running Vista.

I have been searching the forums for hours and if this has already been answered I apologize but I am frustrated and tired and too old to keep looking.

I was able to sync (after many hours last weekend) using Windows Mobile Device however I have had terrible trouble getting the software (pepid medical) from the website to my Axim. I finally resolved that issue by getting the company to send me a card.

All of a sudden my cradle will not sync with my laptop (I can use the charger to charge the battery but it does not charge using the USB). Worked just fine on April 14, the last time I connected it, and one of my USB ports isn't working (just noticed it today as well). Any ideas, suggestions or links, I'm not sure if it is a cable problem or cradle problem? I guess I may need hardware? I have searched for how to sync wireless but can't find just a simple tutorial with step by step instructions. I can connect to the internet with my Axim.
Thanks for any help!!
Suzanne

First - Welcome to Aximsite. Lots of good info and ppl here.

Your problem may be hardware. Try jiggling the PDA in the cradle. You can also do a soft rest and see if it comes back. Some ppl have found reloading AS on the PC restores things. :)

Ultimately, you may need to do a hard reset. :(

Let us know how you make out.

You won't be able to sync your pocket pc via WIFI connection. The only wireless connection you could use to sync your pocket pc and computer is via bluetooth connection (assuming your computer is bluetooth enabled.)
