syncing problems

morning all,
I'm still a newbie at this and am hoping someone can offer a suggestion.
My active sync will go about half way then stop staying that "active sync cannot connect to my device to check out of date appointments" How do I correct that without doing a hard reset?

Reboot the PC and soft reset the device. (Soft reset being the button on the side, not turning it on and off).

If that doesn't work you could try to reinstall AS. Ensure that you're not connecting thorugh a USB hub. Make sure there is no firewall software activated. Run a Detect and Repair in outlook. Run a repair on your PST files. Manually use outlook to remove selected appts (move them to PST) and try again.

With AS there is a LOT of trial and error I'm afraid.

Another thing you should be aware of is IHateSpam can cause a very similar issue. If you are using IHateSpam, you need to be sure Outlook is running when you use AS.
