Mad backup problems...

Okay, new level of frustration here.
For 6 months I have been using the "backup" feature on my axim to do a complete backup onto an SD card. Usually the first time I get a "Backup Failure!" message, but after I reset my device and try a second time it works fine.

Today I have tried for the past hour and a half - same SD card, no changes... and it refuses to back up. It gets usually to about 70 % (sometimes only 45%), and I get this "Backup Failure!" message again.

Anyone else having this problem? Suggestions?

Dave

You have probably installed some software that has a file open.

The soft reset should take care of any open files.

Actually, this is the reason why I and so many other people use Pocket Backup Plus by Sprite Software.
