The first (and simplest) thing to try is a
soft reset. Activesync is notoriously fickle and quite often I need to reset my device before I can connect.
If this doesn't work, try:
- Connecting manually (Files, Mobile Device, Partnership (with your Axim in the cradle, of course))
- Changing the USB port that you're connecting to your laptop with and avoid using a hub socket
- Check that your firewall settings have not been changed (perhaps by an automatic update) and that AS is being allowed bi-directional communication
- Check the pins on the connection block of your Axim (not likely as the device is connecting as a guest)
- If all else fails, back up your Axim to a card (SD or CF) using backup software (such as Spb Backup) and try a hard reset to see if it's something on the Axim that's preventing connection (this should be the last resort!)
