Question Cannot watch streaming video

When I try to watch streaming video on my x51v on a Web site such as mywaves, I get the following error:

'name of file' cannot be opened. Either it is not signed with a trusted certificate, or one of its components cannot be found. You might need to reinstall or restore this file.

When I go to the windowsmedia.com Web site, I can watch video on that site, but I cannot watch streaming video on any other site.

Can anyone help?

TIA

The built in browser is pretty limited. You might want to try something a bit more sophisticated such as Opera Mobile. You can use the demo to see if it'll work.

Opera Mobile download

I believe that RTSP is a Real Media format. Unfortunately, the Real player for windows mobile is not very functional. You could give it a try, but besides that, I don't think there are any other options.

To install Realplayer, download the cab file from here:

home

Copy the file directly to your device, then run it from there to install. Be sure to backup first in case it goes a bit wonky.

I went to the real player web site to down load the application directly from their web site. I have my Dell Axim connected with active sync, and every time I try to down load the player, I get a message that my device has to be connect via active sync.

I am going to look into Windows Media Player to see if there is a plug in to play real player files.

Use the CAB file I linked for you to install the app. And no, there is no WMP plugin for RealPlayer files.

I think there is some restriction on realplayer files, such as a copyright or something that doesnt allow them to be played in other programs.
That is why tcpmp cant play them, or at least that is what ive always been told.

If the video is in flash, which is what everything is going to, then it may not play at all. Flash on pocket pcs isnt as good as desktop pcs, mainly due to the fact that flash videos require a lot of computing power, and pocket pcs just dont provide as much as a desktop.
