Just type Critical communications services failed into the search function of the forum.

Grab a cup of coffee, turn on some relaxing music, sit down in front of your computer, and read all the posts that you see in the search results.

You'll have that error fixed in no time.

First, welcome to Mobilitysite. Lots of good info and ppl here.

Like bernardm said, using the search function will give you the most benefit. But, when asking a question, it helps if you state what trype of PDA (x50, x5, etc), operating system (WM2003, WM5, etc) and what you're trying to do.

Off the top of my head it sounds like your PC is blocking the PDA from connecting. If so, try turning off your firewall.

Thank-you both for the warm welcome. First off I need to apoligize for my lack of knowledge when it comes to correct posts in forums. I don't normal even ask questions or seek help but I am at my whits end with this device my daughter gave me. It is an axim x51v,wm2003. I am trying to load software on it that I have downladed to my pc. I finally got Activesync working, I think, after months of hair pulling. LOL Thank-you again !

What version of Activesync are you running? Did you recently upgrade ActiveSync to 4.x and then downgrade back to ActiveSync 3.8 (or something like that)?

Just a note, if it's an X51v then it will be WM5.

Using an older version of Active sync might help.
Version 4.0 and up works with the X51v.
You aren't using Vista on your PC are you?
