Is it possible to print directly from my X5 or do I have to connect thru a desktop/laptop?

I had an HP add on that printer through the IR, but you have to have an IR acceptable printer. Look on the HPO web site, or maybe at PPC SW sites.

If you check the WiFi How-to in my signature, there's a section on printing which includes links to the HP software. It works with many HP, Canon and Epson printers. The How-to, of course, is directed to it's use over a network but as uzziah0 mentioned, the drivers will also work with IR enabled printers.
