Please check Tutorial Section of the web site at top menu bars. You will get the most help from there, as for games, there are four types of downloaded types for PDA's
Detailed explanation can be found HERE:

1) Installer .exe's:
These will need to be run from PC, which will install some stuff to your PC as well, back-up files, scores, read-me's, notes, web links, etc. And your game/application will be synced/installed to your PDA on your next sync session
2) Zipped Ready files:
You simply unzip/unrar/unace the package, and put them all in a folder, and simply move everything in one place to your Axim/PDA via Explore function on your ActiveSync.
3)Standalone .exe's:
These will give you an error
when you try to run them, double click on them, on your PC If it says "illegal function, blah blah F4E1D5." or "Not a 32 bit" or "not win32 / 16bit / application", that means you just move this standalone file to your PDA like 2) above, and simple tap on it to play/run/work on it.
4).cab installers for PPC.
Similar to 2) but only that your PPC will uncompress them and move it to appropriate folder, just move the .cab file (archive) to your PPC under My Documents, and tap on it. It will do the rest.
