1. Use Activeync to do the transfer, click on "Explore" in Active sync on the computer and browse to the location you want to copy the file to, this will do the conversion from pc to axim.
2. You can use Activesync or an external memory card reader attached to your pc.
You can also use the a synch folder that's created in My Docs on your desktop. Not sure if Activesynch did it or if I created it but it will autosynch everything in that folder. I usually have spreadsheets and word docs in there that I synch back and forth from my Ax to my desktop. Problem is that I think it synchs directly to your ram and not your CF card but it's good for small files.
Drag and Drop works great for me. I treat my Axim like a drive and no problems. I also have a card reader installed (Best 10 dollars I have spent in a long time) and write directly to the SD card that I keep in there. Same things for all files and photos.
I finally broke down and ordered a card reader for only one reason. Before I bought a new car, I was planning on buying a 1 GB CF card because my 512 CF is almost full. However, I didn't want to reinstall everything, so I was just going to use the card reader to copy the 512 mb over to my computer and then use it again to transfer the image from my computer to the 1 gb.

It may take a while to transfer the data but it should work like a charm. I loved the card reader so much that I bought 3 so that I could swap SD cards easily. With all of the E-books I have it made it much easier. What ever happend to your Snake problem Raynee?:crooked:
