OK guys maybe someone can help me out with this I have a x50 mid with wm2003 A03 and wanting to upgrade to wm5 A01. So here is my problem everytime I try to update the rom the PPC brings a screen up that says waiting for usb and then the ppc locks and and I get an error in Windows Vista saying that the programs has stopped working something to do with MFC error. Kinda acts like the usb stopped working and the ppc is waiting for the connection to reconnect. Any Suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I Hope that I gave you enough info.

All the info needed to answer was in the word Vista.
Unfortunately the update process using the Dell update files only works using Active Sync on an XP machine.

Do you have one or a friends that you can borrow?
