Start bar only showing "Start"

Had to do a hard reset. Now when going into "Settings" the "Start" on top bar changes for an instant to "Settings" then reverts to "Start". Same behavior for ANY program or anything that used to have its name on the bar next to Windows logo.

What am I missing?

Try doing a soft reset. If that doesn't work you may need to do another hard reset. That piece is all part of the basic operating system. :exc:

Exactly right.

Did another Hard reset -- it's back to normal.
Thanks.

I thought that might resolve the problem. :)

Actually, it happened again. This time after a hard reset all was well UNTIL I enabled Odyssey Client in order to configure my Internet connection.

I got Internet access and the start bar was OK UNTIL another SOFT RESET. Then the same thing -- always showed "START".

So I disabled Odyssey and soft reset and all was well again.

Very strange, but at least I know it is not a corrupted OS on install but rather a conflict with Odyssey under certain circumstances.

Maybe this will help others.

I'm not sure why something to control the Wireless function would interfere with the OS. But, maybe so. :o

Have you tried reloading Odyssey?
