Question X51v Replacement

I love my X51v, but after three years it is showing its age. For the moment I'm just experiencing nuisance problems, but I think I need to start a replacement plan. I think I have two choices:
  1. Purchase another current new brand - but which one?
  2. Buy a used X51v to act as a backup

I would appreciate any shared opinion on what approach to take.

I too had started having nuisance issues on my Axim v50x which I still have to give to my daughter. I did not want a converged device, just a pda very similar, if not better than the Axim. I purchased 2 HP Ipaq 211 and love the 624 mhz, 4" VGA touchscreen, etc. Check out HP website for specs.I got mine from Buy.com; very pleased with the speed, screen size, and so much more. Hope this assist you in your search

If you are going like-for-like, then the HP's are a good option.
I too am looking for an x51v replacement -- and want a converged device (phone, camera, gps, pda) -- I don't think the ideal machine is out there for the U.S. If the HTC Touch HD were designed for the U.S., it would be pretty darn close. The only thing I would like that it doesn't have is TV out.

The HTC Touch Pro/ATT Fuze has all of those things that I just mentioned, but I saw one the other day and thought that I would have trouble giving up my large VGA screen. That is what I am waiting for. Some of the E-Ten and Imate devices look possible, but the blogosphere doesn't seem to be buzzing much about them!

UPDATE: I now have the Fuze. I tell you what: NO TURNING BACK from my x51v!
I love the smaller form factor, was really surprised to find myself regularly using the keyboard, and just purchased the cable from eXpansys to do the TV out. It is a FABULOUS machine!!!

Agreed, it is great only having to carry one device. How much was your TV out cable?
