New to the pocket Pc....just picked up Axim 5 with PC2002 ROM Version A04. Also picked up Pocket PC2003 CD. Want to Upgrade from 2002 to 2003 but confused as to how to do this. Not like an upgrade on main computer. When I put CD in, auto runs to get started screen and Active Sync and Outlook 2002 Install, which both would install on main computer. Already have been using Outlook from Office2003 on main computer. Are there any tricks? Is there a tutorial site?

Do you already have ActiveSync (latest version is 4.5) or Windows Mobile Device Center if running Vista, installed? If not, it should be for the upgrade to proceed. Both AS and WMDC are available free from Microsoft. You should be able to keep your current version of Outlook though.

Once you have set up a partnership between your device and your PC (via AS or WMDC), you should be able to follow the instructions to proceed with the upgrade. Make sure your device is not running on battery power when you do the upgrade.

One note on that.
Generally, the older updates that require the use of Activesync will not work with WMDC.
