Question Home Icon, and internet connectivity messages

Hi, two things I have not been able to adjust yet.

When I go to program screen, I have two Home Icons. How can I get rid of one of them? (they show up as Home And Home (1) ).

Any time I am using WIFI and either start to run IE before I am hooked up, I get the "cannot connect check your settings" message. I never use this through a phone etc. and want to disable that balloon from ever appearing.

(x50v WIN 6)

Any help appreciated, thanks..................

GO Eagles Whooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooot !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

For the duplicate icons:
1. Start-->Programs-->File Explorer
2. Browse to: My Device\Windows\Start Menu\Programs
3. Find "Home (1)" and delete it from there

When you see "Cannot connect" message, are you still able to browse the Internet?

If not, refer to Ikehiker's Wi-Fi guide: here

Thanks, got rid of that extra home.

No, when I get that message, I cannot use the Internet. Once I actually wait for the wifi to connect I am fine, and I never see the message. However some places have inconsistent connections, and if I momentarily lose connection, the message keeps coming back till I can reconnect.

Just a real annoyance. Thanks

Oh, you can remove that message by:

Start-->Settings-->Sounds & Notifications (In the "Personal" tab)-->"Notification" Tab

Event: "Connection established"
Uncheck "Display messange on screen"

I think that should fix it, if not please tell me.

If you don't have many apps on your ppc or their easy to install again and this is a real annoyance theirs always the last resort hard reset.

I think the problem is too minor for reinstall or hard reset...

Thanks for the help, but that damn notice continues to pop up. I really do not want to reset for this.

Any other ideas? LOL thanks

Tried a few things on my own Axim, none worked. The "lost connection" notice was built-in because how else would you know that you lost your connection?

A hard reset would NOT resolve this.

Maybe another member can drop in to provide an idea.
