Internet Frustration on my X30

I have a wireless router which my wired desktop and wireless laptop PC connect to the internet. When I first got my PDA a few years ago I remember having to fiddle around with it for many hours before it would finally get out to the internet. I have not used this capability for a while now and have recently tried to reconnect through my home network. I can connect to my network and have even pinged another computer in the network succsesfully. I cannot get out to the internet...period. I have messed with the settings for hours, gone over steps in the manual, gone to websites for any clue to no avail. I am clueless. I must have screwed up settings somewhere, or am failing to provide proper naming conventions etc. Even more frustrating is reading a review on the X30 saying that the PDA immediately found this persons home network, connected and he was on the internet in minutes!!!! Anyones help is greatly appreciated.

Look at the Troubleshooting section of the WiFi Guide linked from my signature (especially the top 'Check these first').

I tried doing the steps without luck. I decided to download the ROM upgrade to my version of Windows Mobile 2003. I backed up my data as recommended and loaded the update. After the update I enabled the radio, it immediately identified my network and connected. I started up Internet Explorer and wham...I was in. I could get all the websites entered. So, now, I restored my backed up data and wham...I was out again. Same problem. I show an excellent connection to my network but Internet Explorer says page not found every time I try an website. So I figure I would just reload the upgrade - it won't reload because it sees the upgrade already. It also won't let me degrade to a previous version. How do I wipe this bloody thing clean so I can start over??????!!!!

Do a Hard reset.
Hold the power button and press the reset button.
That will wipe all your data and take you back to fresh out of the box.
Don't use your backup, something in that is obviously causing your connection problems.
Reinstall the software you want manually, and check that you connection is working after each new software addition.
If you find you lose the connection again, you know it is the last bit of software that did it.
