Hello,

Using a Dell Axim PDA. It has Pocket Word.

Created some files on the PDA using Pocket Word. Synced with the PC.

I can see the files in the folder on the PC, but when I try to open them with the PC, but...the Pocket Word created file never opens.

How can I open a Pocket Word file created on my PDA to open on my PC?

It does work the other way. I can create a file on the PC, and then open it on my PDA.

Ok, just tried it out.

Do this, after you create a word file on your Axim, press Menu-->Save As

There four formats:

*.docx
*.dotx
*.rtf
*.txt

Please save it as *.rtf or *.txt. Then your Word 2003 can read it.
If you want to save it as a .docx, you have to download the compatibility pack for Word 2007. Here is the link: here.
Lastly, another method is just to buy Office 2007.

If i can remember correctly, there is an option in word on 2003se to save as (Word 97-2003) .doc format. By default word saves as a mobile format, dont know why they had to create a separate format.
