When my PDA is in the cradle with a Sd card in the slot it locks up and has to be soft booted. When no Sd card is installed there has never been a problem with the unit. I have read of similar problems but no solutions; is there one?

I could be a couple of things that I can think of.
You might just need to do the Fake Server Trick which you can find here.

Or possibly a program that you have installed on the card is causing it.
Things like today screen plug ins or weather programs etc could be causing it, particularly any application that tries to access the internet.

It could also be a faulty card.

Have you tried other cards? Are you using SD or SDHC? You need a hack to read SDHC on Axims. Have you tried the card in question in other devices?
