Hi everyone,
I've been looking around in the forum to tell me what I'm doing wrong, but could not manage to find it so here it goes.
My friend asked me to update his x51 with the current wireless patch from dell. I downloaded a self extracting file named R136899, unzipped all the files to the default directory. Followed the instructions on Dell's website to install the file, which is below.
When I executed the file, it created another rar file(WiFi_A_ColAdds) and read me file. Then I extracted the rar file which provided 2 additional files which are:
tiacxwln.001
WIFIPA~1.000
If I follow the Dell guide, I need to go start menu>run type C:\dell\Drivers\R136899 and all it will do is to open the extraction folder. I believe I'm missing something as it says in the guide that I'll be
following the on-screen installation instructions at that point.
What am I doing wrong?
thanks in advance...
