installing cab files

I got a application that is in cab files, where do I put the cab files. This is my first time in using a program that is in cab files, before the program was in the form of a installer.

You can put the .cab file anywhere you like. I usually use the Temp folder.

Then simply run the .cab file and it will install the program in Main Memory. You can then delete the .cab file.

A better way is to use and excellent freeware program called CabInstl. This allows you to install the program to a memory card, to built it storage or anywhere you like. It gives you the options of deleting ot not deleting the .cab file.

cab files are self-installers that are typically run from the PPC itself.

I keep all my used apps as cab files on my storage card for when I need to install/re-install them.

If I do not need them often, I uninstall them afterward to free up the space.

Copy them to \storage card\cabs
use the PPCs file explorer to navigate to the folder and click the one you wish to install
follow the prompts

If you'd like another opinion. I just drag and drop into the file of your choice. Some program cab files don't like sd cards but I've never seen that.
